The restoration of an old school built in 1777 into a retreat was a truly inspiring project, which we approached with outmost delicacy and respect. Preserving the unique character of the historic building while integrating modern amenities for health (sauna) and relaxation (meditation floor). The use of historic tiles and sustainable roofing materials such as reet helped capture the Scandinavian essence of the property – making it the perfect country hideout.
